Titan E-Waste is operated by Titan Ewaste, ABN 75 931 881 802. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to the business operating Titan E-Waste.

We aim to handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles and comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) where it applies to our business. Information about the Australian Privacy Principles is available from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

1. Personal information we collect

Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who can reasonably be identified. Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect:

Please avoid including unnecessary personal or sensitive information in photographs, item descriptions or collection instructions.

2. How we collect information

We generally collect information directly from you through website forms, telephone calls, SMS, email, social media, messaging services and in-person interactions. We may also receive booking or contact details from someone arranging a collection on your behalf. If you provide another person's information, please ensure you have their permission to do so.

We may collect personal information through Meta Instant Forms in our Facebook and Instagram advertisements. This may include your name, email address, phone number and answers to questions about your collection request. Meta may offer to pre-fill some fields using information from your account.

We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry and arrange your collection. We may transfer this information to Google Sheets to manage enquiries and collection records. Meta also processes information through its platforms under its Privacy Policy.

You may enquire anonymously or use a pseudonym where practicable. However, we need sufficient contact and address details to arrange and complete a collection.

3. Why we collect and use information

We use personal information to:

We may also use or disclose information for related purposes you would reasonably expect, with your consent, or where required or authorised by law.

4. Marketing communications

If we send marketing emails or messages, we will identify our business and provide a way to unsubscribe. You can also contact us directly to withdraw your marketing consent. We will action unsubscribe requests within five working days. Booking confirmations and other necessary service communications may still be sent.

5. Sensitive information

We do not ordinarily need sensitive information, such as health information, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs or political opinions, to provide our collection service. Please do not provide it unless it is necessary. If sensitive information is needed, we will seek consent where required and use or disclose it only as permitted by law.

6. Who we share information with

We may share relevant information with:

We limit information shared to what is reasonably needed for the relevant purpose. Customer contact details are not routinely provided to downstream recycling processors unless needed for an agreed service, authorised by you or required by law. Information remaining on collected devices is addressed separately below.

7. Information on collected devices

Computers, phones, tablets, storage drives and other devices may contain personal, confidential or business information. Before collection, back up anything you wish to keep, sign out of accounts, remove SIM cards and memory cards, and securely erase stored information where possible.

A standard e-waste collection does not, by itself, constitute a verified data-erasure or physical data-destruction service. Any specific data-handling service must be agreed with us in writing before collection. If you cannot erase a device, tell us before booking so that the handling arrangements can be clarified.

We do not intentionally access personal files as part of an ordinary collection. Devices and storage media transferred to recycling processors may still contain information if it has not been securely removed. This section does not exclude any obligations we have under applicable law.

8. Website, cookies and advertising

Our website and its hosting provider may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, pages visited and access times for website operation, security and troubleshooting.

We advertise our services on Facebook and Instagram through Meta. Our advertisements link to our website. We do not currently use the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics or other advertising conversion trackers on our website. Meta handles information about interactions with advertisements on its platforms under its own privacy policy.

When you submit a collection or enquiry form, the information you provide is recorded in Google Sheets. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, arrange your collection and maintain service records.

You can manage cookies and stored website data through your browser settings. Blocking some technologies may affect website functionality. External websites and social media platforms handle information under their own privacy policies.

9. Storage and overseas providers

We keep personal information in business records and electronic systems, including systems supplied by third-party service providers.

We use third-party technology providers to operate our services, including:

These providers may store or process personal information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they or their service providers operate. The locations depend on the service, account settings and provider arrangements. We have not confirmed all processing locations for our accounts.

Further information is available in the GoDaddy Privacy Policy, Google Privacy Policy, Microsoft Privacy Statement and Meta Privacy Policy.

Where Australian privacy law applies, we take the steps required by that law in relation to overseas disclosures.

10. Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes and meet legal requirements. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely destroy or permanently de-identify it, subject to applicable recordkeeping obligations.

11. Access and correction

You can contact us to request access to personal information we hold about you, or to request a correction. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We do not charge a fee for making a request. If access cannot be provided or a correction is declined, we will explain why, unless the law prevents us from doing so, and explain available complaint options.

12. Privacy enquiries and complaints

For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or complaints, please contact:
